Project Description
REC 2-Day Emergency Outdoor First Aid Course
Our two-day emergency first aid course is designed for people who love being in the outdoors. Our courses are held in and around Conwy, Betws-y-Coed and Llanberis.
The course is suitable first aid training for outdoor instructors, teachers, outdoor enthusiasts, climbers, canoeists, kayakers and mountain bikers.
It is recognised by the national governing bodies MLTUK, Canoe England, Canoe Wales (BCU), British Cycling and many others, it is also suitable for the Duke of Edinburgh awards.
We believe the best way to learn first aid is practical scenarios and this plays a big part with as much time as possible spent dealing with mock incidents.
This course has an added emphasis on first aid in remote locations and practical applications where help may be hours away.
No formal assessment over the 2 days, continuous assessment is over the course.
The REC Certificate is valid for 3 years.
